Of Zen and Computing

About

Of Zen and Computing is a computer tech support website for everyday people with everyday problems. Our contributors are I.T. professionals with extensive experience in solving computer problems day-in and day-out, and Of Zen and Computing is your gateway to their know-how. Our goal is to put and end to your frustrations with technology, and endow you with a zen-like understanding of how your computer works so that you can increase productivity and reduce headaches.

Of Zen and Computing was officially launched on March 5th, 2006 with the hope of providing a valuable resource to computer users by understanding their needs, desires, and frustrations. It is our hope that perhaps a handful of our visitors left this website feeling just a little bit more comfortable with the strange contraption sitting in front of them.

Of Zen and Computing welcomes questions from its readers. If you can’t find an answer to what ails you on this website, e-mail the editors at bliss at ofzenandcomputing dot com.

About the Editor

I am a database manager, web developer, and technology enthusiast from New York City. At some point I started recording the answers I gave people for their computer questions, and decided that collection would make for a great resource on the web. Of Zen and Computing was born shortly thereafter.

After studying computer science and working in the I.T. field, I became amazed at the volume and variety of computer questions people were able to come up with during the course of a day. Millions of people use computers to get things done, but unfortunately many of those people still have great difficulty with those same computers. I founded Of Zen and Computing with the intention of building a resource that caters high tech knowledge in plain English to normal people.

Aside from computers, I am an avid photographer. You can find some of my photos on Flickr and Zooomr. I also enjoy snowboarding - there’s a picture of me riding to the left.
