Opanda IExif is a freeware program for viewing the EXIF data embedded in digital photos. Opand IExif works with all modern versions of Microsoft Windows.

To get started, download and install Opanda IExif. The process is painless, and works like installing any other software. Download the program, run it, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once installed, start up Opanda IExif and open an image file with the “Open” button. You will see a small preview of the picture, along with all of the embedded data fields.

EXIF data is meta data embedded inside many digital images. EXIF may contain exposure settings for photos, keywords, author and copyright information, geographic coordinates, and many other tidbits of information.

  1. You can see most of the useful information in Windows Explorer. Right click on the photo -> click Properties -> click Summary tab -> click ‘Advanced >>’ buttton to expand the data.

I don’t think it shows every bit of meta data, but I believe the most commonly used information is presented.
