If you publish original content online, you cannot sit around and hope others find your site. If your work deserves to be seen, promote it! One simple thing you can do to increase the visibility of your blog or web site is keep your network of Facebook friends up to date with your latest content.
You can post links to Facebook with their “Posted Items” app. Post a link to your Posted Items, and your friends will see it in their news feed. A posted item can include a title, link, short description, and an image.
Head to “Posted Items”
To post a link, log into Facebook and click “Posted Items” in the left-hand sidebar. If you don’t see it listed there, hit the tiny gray “more” link and it should appear.
Give Facebook the URL
Facebook will load a page titled “My Friends’ Posted Items”. On the right side is a small input box labeled “Post a link”. Paste the full URL to your web page, article, or blog post in this box, then press the “Post” button.
Customize Your Link
Facebook will automatically fill in the title and description of your link using whatever content it finds at that URL. You can modify these things by clicking on them. Facebook will also load all the images it finds on the linked page — choose one by clicking the left and right arrow buttons under “Choose a Thumbnail”.
Once you have customized all the aspects of your link, hit the “Post” button to send it to your news feed.
