The first issue of ShutterSphere, a new magazine aiming to showcase the work of amateur photographers in print and on the web, is out. OZaC previously covered ShutterSphere back in January.
Issue #1 of ShutterSphere is now available for order. You can order your own copy in print through Lulu.com — I received mine this morning, and it looks great.
ShutterSphere #1 features photos three themes: Environment, Alternative Angles, and Winter. Two of my own photos are featured under Environment and Alternative Angles. The featured photographers are Jeremy Brooks, Zach Flauaus, Matt Pippen, Andrew Moore, Daniel Vucsko, Ben Burris, Colin Dowey, Stephen Conrad, Robert J. Kahn, Wolfman-K, Jack Prominski, Kabren Levinson, Andy DeSoto, Bo Johns, Bill Scherer, Daniel Burka, Oliver Ahn, Daniel Bodenstein, and Richard Buttimer.
If you are an amateur photographer and are interested in having your work published in ShutterSphere, submissions for issue 2 are now being accepted under the themes “animalia” and “plantae”.
