How can I make curved text in a Word Document?

You can make curved text in a Word Document by using the Word Art drawing tool. This article shows the process of making curved text in Word 2003, but the process should be similar in versions like Office 2000 and XP.

Start up the Word Art tool

Click on the “Word Art” button in the drawing toolbar. If the drawing toolbar is not shown, click View → Toolbars → Drawing. I have circled the Word Art button with red in the following screen capture.

Select your Word Art style

The Word Art Gallery will display samples of the various different types of warped text you can use. In addition to curved text, you can make waves, slants, gradients, and odd perspectives. Click on your desired effect, and press then “OK” button.

Input your text

The next dialog box will ask you to enter the text for your Ward Art. Type your message, and select a font size. Press the “OK” button to insert your Word Art into your Word Document.
