Did you ever wonder why the XBox 360 comes with a stern warning to not move the console while the power is turned on? Well I went to the trouble of figuring out what happens so you don’t have to.
Moving the XBox 360 while the power is on results in a damaged video game, and possibly a damaged console. I had a complete mental lapse one day, and committed this crime not once, but twice. You’d think I would have learned after the first time, but no — this day cost me two copies of Dance, Dance Revolution.
If you move your powered-up 360, you will hear a sickening buzzing sound emanate from inside. That is the sound of the game disc being severely scratched. Pull it out and take a look — rings of scratches will encircle the data side of the disc, and your game will most likely be ruined.
So there you have it: moving a powered-up XBox 360 scratches the life out of your video game. And yes, I bought a third copy of DDR.
