How to Download Facebook Videos with the Facebook Video Greasemonkey Script

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Facebook Video is a Mozilla Firefox add-on that allows Facebook members to download videos posted by their friends. The social networking site Facebook allows members to post videos but does not provide a method to download them — the Facebook Video add-on adds that capability.

To download videos with Facebook Video, install the add-on and restart Firefox. The add-on is classified as “experimental” at the time of this writing, so you are required to be logged in before installing (non-members can register here). Once the software is installed, go to a Facebook video page and look for a link under the embedded video to download the file.
