Bose Around-Ear Headphones Review

I have been using the Bose around-ear headphones for close to a year, and have been with both their sound quality and comfort. Build and Comfort

The Bose around-ear headphones are extremely lightweight and very comfortable. As the product description states, they weight a grand total of five ounces. The padded speakers fit comfortably around my ears without causing any real discomfort — extended listening sessions may lead so some around-ear perspiration which is really a non-issue because at that point you should be more concerned about your ear drums.

If you have used ear bud-style headphones for any length of time, the Bose around-ear headphones will be a welcome change of pace. My ears usually hurt after a 45 minute subway ride listening to my iPod via its stock ear buds, whereas I have spent entire work days between my Bose around-ear headphones and failed to notice the time pass.

Isolation Factor

While the Bose around-ear headphones are not noise canceling headphones, they do a great job of blocking out all but the loudest distractions. With an office window facing the street on the ground level, I often reach for my Bose headphones when there is construction work or heavy traffic. Unless your music is at a very low volume, you will probably not hear anyone speaking to you from more than a foot or two away while you are using these headphones.

Audio Quality

I am by no means an audiophile, but I have heard enough to know that these headphones sound great. I have no complaints about the sound quality from the Bose around-ear headphones — in fact I am quite impressed by it. Drums and bass are in full effect, vocals are wonderful, and you can hear every note of a guitar solo.
