Photo processed with Adobe Lightrom 2.2 Camera Profiles

DSLR owners: in the course of processing your RAW files, do you long for a more efficient way of getting back the “pop” you see in your shots on your camera’s LCD or in the RAW files’ embedded JPEG preview? If so you can ease post-processing with Adobe Lightroom 2.2. camera profiles.

The reason photos processed in Lightroom (or any other software besides that of your camera’s manufacturer) often at first appear drastically different that the previews on your camera LCD or in the embedded JPEG is because both of those previews were processed by your camera using the manufacturer’s calibration settings, while the pictures that come out of Lightroom have a more generic calibration profile applied by Adobe Camera Raw. But with Lightroom 2.2’s camera profiles you can begin your editing process with the vibrant, impressive colors that come out of these advanced cameras and lenses instead of just a flat, generic RAW file.
