File Recovery Software: DiskDigger

Thursday, March 5, 2009

Accidentally delete an image, document or multimedia file? DiskDigger is Windows software that might be able to help you get your deleted files back.

DiskDigger is real simple – it runs through a storage volume such as a memory card, USB drive or hard drive and displays all the files it finds — its advantage being that it can also find and display files that have been deleted.

DiskDigger requires the user to manually sort through the results of its search and pick out the desired files. The author also states that it will take a significantly longer amount of time to scan large hard drives. Looking for deleted files on a memory card or USB stick should be a piece of cake though.
