Skype Call Recorder is a free Windows program that can record calls made over the Skype Internet telephone service.

Skype Call Recorder has a simple interface with three main buttons to record, stop and play back Internet phone calls. You can choose a folder on your hard drive in which the recorded calls will be saved as .MP3 files. Skye Call Recorder also allows you to choose the recording mode and bit rate.

Skype Call Recorder works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Skype must be installed separately (download Skype here). The recorder also requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework which will be installed automatically if it is not present.

For those who do not have experience with Skype, it is a software that lets one make telephone calls over the Internet. Calls can be placed to other Skype users as well as traditional telephone numbers, and you can choose to purchase extra features such as a phone number for your computer. Skype also does video conferencing.
