Here’s a great quick tip from productivity site Lifehacker: use your My Pictures folder as your screensaver. If you’ve got a fair amount of personal digital photos kept in your My Pictures folder, windows can be configured to display them in random order as your screensaver.
Setting up this option is quick and simply; Start → Control Panel → Display, “Screensavers” tab, choose “My Pictures” slideshow. Lifehackers’ reader comments also offer instructions for doing the same thing on a Mac.
We think using your own photos a screensaver is an awesome alternative to sifting through the ‘Net for various animated screensavers that you’ll tire of 3 months later. Those orange sunsets and cool blue waves offer a certain level of motivation throughout the day.
