Connect360 logoDo you have an Apple computer full of iTunes tracks and iPhoto images? Do you have an XBox 360? If you boot up the XBox 360 dashboard, navigate over the the “Media” blade, and try to retrieve songs and photos from your computer, XBox 360 will claim that this feature only works with a Windows PC. Not true! Connect360 is software that will force your XBox 360 to play nice with your Mac.

  1. Start up your XBox 360, go to the dashboard, and navigate to the blue “Media” blade.
  2. If your XBox 360 is not already connected to your home network via network cable or wireless adapter, connect it.
  3. Download and install Connect360 on your Mac. Connect360 comes in the form of a preference pane that appears in your System Preferences.
  4. On the Connect360 preference pane, click the “Start” button to start sharing your media files with your XBox 360.

Once you hit the “Start” button, your XBox 360 will immediately discover your Mac’s media content. Let me tell you, once you’ve played a game like Tony Hawk’s Project 8 for a few hours and heard all the songs it has to offer, it’s quite refreshing to play along to your own music.

Note: the free trial version of Connect360 only displays a limited subset of your Mac media content on your XBox 360. The full version of the software shows you everything, and costs just $20.
