Cha-Ching: Simple Financial Software for Your Mac

Thursday, February 8, 2007

Cha-Ching LogoCha-Ching [source: tuaw] is a brand new, simplified financial software package for the Mac. If you think Quicken seems like a bit much, or a bit too complicated, then you might like Cha-Ching.

Cha-Ching looks and works more like a “Mac application” than Quicken, and sports a few fun little features such as tagging transactions and storing photographs of your assets.

Cha-Ching is beta software, meaning it’s a work in progress that still has bugs to be fixed. The mean reason I’m pointing out Cha-Ching is the price tag: at this time it’s being offered at a discounted price of $14.95 that comes with free upgrades for the coming 1.x series (presumably when it’s out of beta). I’ll be trying it out for the introductory price, and once I’ve spent some time with Cha-Ching, I’ll follow up with some more in-depth thoughts.
