Help! I have a CD/DVD in my Mac’s disc drive and now I can’t get it out. When I tried to eject the disc, the icon disappeared from the finder and my desktop, but the disc did not physically eject from the drive. What do I do?

Don’t fret, for all is not lost. I actually had this problem within weeks of owning my first Mac and although it freaked me out, a quick Google search revealed that the solution is quite simple. Reboot your Mac and hold down the mouse button while the system starts up. While OS X boots, your computer’s disc drive will eject any disc that’s inside.
