The iVak is a stylish case that seamlessly wraps around your iPod, providing hard protection with a soft feel. The iVak works with the iPod Nano through it’s “jigsaw” design, clipping together to fully encase your MP3 player. The iVak has a “liquid rubber finish” that claims to provide the protection of a hard case, while remaining soft to the touch. When all is said and done, the iVak hopes to protect your iPod from bumps and scratches, while remaining comfortable in your hands. Along with an iVak, you also get a lanyard, a screen protector, and a wrap for your headphones.
One of the reasons I’ve never bought a protective case for my iPod is that most of them are simply about style — no real protection. Most don’t do anything that can’t be accomplished with a protective film over the iPod’s screen. The iVak looks interesting though. If it works as GEAR4 claims it does, it might just be a protective case that gets the job done in both the style and functional departments.
