Project Gutenberg logoAvid readers should dedicate some time to browsing Project Gutenberg, a digital library that’s home to over 20,000 free texts. Project Gutenberg maintains scores of books that are available in the public domain, and hosts them in plain text formats that are intended to trascend different computer operating systems, software versions, and other reading devices. Many of Project Gutenberg’s free books are also available in the “Plucker” format, which can be read on mobile phones, PDAs, and digital organizers.

To find books of interest in the Project Gutenberg database, simply head to their search page and start looking.
