Shuffle an iTunes Playlist with the Party Shuffle

Thursday, April 12, 2007

iTunes logoIf you’ve never really looked into the features of iTunes, you might be under the impression that the Party Shuffle only randomizes your entire music library. Not true — you can also use iTunes’ Party Shuffle to randomize one specific playlist. I use this feature very often, because I have a wide variety of music in my library. When I’m in a grunge rock mood, I don’t want to hear 50 Cent, and when I’m in a classic rock mood, I don’t want to land on a Metallica track. To shuffle an iTunes playlist, follow Apple’s tutorial on how to DJ a party with iTunes:

“You can easily have the Party Shuffle playlist pull songs from any playlist you want by by choosing a playlist from the Source menu at the bottom of the Party Shuffle list.”
