How to use VLC Player with Windows Vista

VLC iconApparently, there are some compatibility issues with VLC and Windows Vista. The How-To Geek shows you how to get things working in “Using VLC Player Under Vista“.

“As many people already know, the most supportive application for playing media ( Video ) files on your computer in VLC Player. The problem is that it doesn’t always work correctly on Windows Vista.”

According to the article, the way to get Vista and VLC to play nice is to modify VLC’s video output settings to use DirectX or Windows GDI. Read the article for full instructions on changing these VLC settings.
