A Canadian hacking competition has exposed vulnerabilities in Apple’s Quicktime media player that can compromise your computer by simply visiting web sites containing malicious java applets. Apple has released a security bulletin on the threat, and fixed the hole in Quicktime 7.1.6.
If you use Quicktime, you should download 7.1.6 to ensure your system stays safe.
