Quicktime Users: Install this “Very Serious” Security Update from Apple

QuickTime logoA Canadian hacking competition has exposed vulnerabilities in Apple’s Quicktime media player that can compromise your computer by simply visiting web sites containing malicious java applets. Apple has released a security bulletin on the threat, and fixed the hole in Quicktime 7.1.6.

If you use Quicktime, you should download 7.1.6 to ensure your system stays safe.
