A person using a laptopIf you weren’t already aware, laptop batteries lose their ability to hold a charge over time. In fact my three-year-old Apple PowerBook’s battery life is only 75% of what it was when I bought it new.

You can’t stop a battery from losing it’s capacity, but you can use these 15 tips to extend your laptop battery life in order to get the most out of every charge. The article includes suggestions for cutting out unnecessary devices and programs, as well as common sense tips like keeping temperature down and dimming the screen.
