How and why to get RSS to Email

Rss to emailOne thing I think web savvy people sometimes forget in this Web 2.0 world is that RSS isn’t totally main stream yet. Most people who read this site are probably totally familiar with feed readers and have a favorite one. For me it’s Bloglines, but depending on your niche you have to remember that all your readers may not use / understand RSS. How do we talk to these people? Here is what I suggest. Use a service that will turn your feed into an email. So they will get the full benefits of RSS without having to have a feed reader. Here are a few options I personally really like RSSFwd and Feedburner. Feedburner is great if you want to use their services as a whole. If you dont want to use that route I suggest RSSFwd. It is very basic and easy to use. So I think the benefit of this is that you can turn a casual non-techie browser into a regular reader like people who use feed readers with very little effort.
