I wanted to piggyback this post off of another post
Delete Thumbs.db and Desktop.ini from your Mac. Kind of funny but Mac has hidden files that you only see on PC and vice versa.
So how to tackle the DS_Store (mac hidden) files on your PC. There is a very nice tool named
BlueHarvest that you run on your Mac. What does blue harvest do exactly? According to it’s site it:
- Stops the creation of “.DS_Store” files.
- Automatically removesResource forks (”dot underscore” files)”
- Automatically removes hidden folders such as “.Trashes” (from removable disks)
- Provides simple drag and drop folder and volume cleaning.
I ran a scrub on a Mac drive that I wanted to provide access to PC users and it ’s no so clean it’s spotless.
*Note* It will also remove Thumbs.db files
