How to Upload Photos from Photoshop to Flickr

Thursday, July 26, 2007

FlickrShop is an Adobe Photoshop plug-in that allows you to upload images straight from Photoshop to your Flickr account. If you are someone who likes to experiment with photos before dropping them into your Flickr gallery, then FlickrShop will certainly be of interest to you. Uploading from Photoshop to Flickr with FlickrShop is an extremely simple process.

Install and Authorize FlickrShop

The FlickrShop home page provides both a download link, and complete instructions for installing the plug-in. Simply drop the FlickrShop file into one of Adobe Photoshop’s directories, restart Photoshop, and you are ready to roll.

The first time you use FlickrShop, you will be asked to authorize the plug-in. This one-time step tells Flickr that the FlickrShop plug-in is allowed to access your Flickr account.

Open the photo you would like sent to Flickr, and start up the FlickrShop plug-in.

  • Click File.
  • Click Automate.
  • Click FlickrShop.
The FlickrShop dialog window will appear, and ask for all the necessary information required to perform the upload. This includes the photo’s title, description, tags, privacy information, and more. Fill in as much of this information as you can, then click the “Upload” button.
