Export Music from iTunes with iTunes Export

Saturday, July 28, 2007

iTunes screenshotiTunes does not allow you to export only songs from certain playlists, but free Windows utility iTunes Export is able to do just that. iTunes Export is able to pluck music files out of iTunes’ mysterious system of folders and files, and export them neatly along with a universal playlist file. The universal playlist file generated by iTunes Export can be understood by almost every music player around.

iTunes Export should prove handy for anyone who wants to export a few songs to a thumb drive, CD, or DVD. For an excellent, illustrated tutorial on using iTunes Export, visit “Geek to Live: Free Your Music from iTunes with iTunes Export” at Lifehacker.
