I have created a distribution list of my contacts in Microsoft Outlook 2003, but I can’t figure out how to send an e-mail to the list.
There are a few different ways to send an e-mail to an Outlook 2003 distribution list. The following is the one I recommend to others, since it seems to be one of the quickest and least confusing. It only requires a few clicks, and does not require you to navigate any dialog windows.
- Click the Contacts button in Outlook’s left sidebar. It’s in the same place you normally find Mail and Calendar.
- Right-click on the name of your distribution list. This will bring up a context menu.
- In the context menu, click on Send message to contact.
As soon as you finish that last step, a new e-mail window will appear. The name of your distribution list will be in the “To:” field. Fill out the subject and body of the e-mail, then click “Send”.
