How to Burn an ISO to a CD in One Simple Click

A compact discISO files are a convenient way of distributing the contents of a CD over the Internet, but what do you do with an ISO once you have downloaded one? Well with a program called ISO Recorder, you can burn that image to a CD in one simple click.

ISO Recorder (via Lifehacker) is a tool for Windows XP and Vista that enables you to easily burn discs from ISO files. Once you have downloaded and installed ISO recorder, your right-click menu be outfitted with a new option for burning discs.

  • Insert a blank disc in your disc drive.
  • Locate any ISO file on your computer.
  • Right-click on its icon and choose “Copy Image to CD“.
  • Follow ISO recorder’s directions. Once you click “Finish”, your CD will start burning.
