Is there a way to remove things from my Facebook feed, so that other people cannot see them?
With the overabundance of Facebook applications these days, I don’t blame you for wanting to remove things from your Facebook feed. It seems like every time you sign on there is another invitation to install an application — your Facebook feed has suddenly transformed from a stream of activity into an Add/Remove Programs log!
Whatever the reason you have for removing things from your Facebook feed, it can be done. Log into Facebook, and click “Profile” at the very top of the screen. This will take you to your own profile. In your mini-feed, locate the unwanted item and click the “X” next to it. Here is an example:

Fig. 1 - Removing the “NY Giants Fans” application notice from my Mini-Feed.
In figure 1, you can see that I am about to click the “X” button to remove the “NY Giants Fans” application. The Giants are all well and good, but everyone does not need to know that I installed another Facebook app. Once I click, the feed item will disappear.
