A picture posted to Flickr from my camera phone

Do you have a camera phone? Do you have a Flickr account? Did you know that you can take pictures with your camera phone, and post them straight to your Flickr account by sending a picture message? Flickr assigns every member a secret e-mail address, to which they can send photos. Any photo sent to your secret Flickr e-mail will be posted to your photostream

Step 1: Figure out where to send pics

In order to find out what your secret Flickr e-mail address is, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Flickr.
  2. Go to your account.
  3. Click on the “E-mail” tab.

Alternatively, just click here (provided that you are already logged into Flickr).

Once you have made it to the “E-mail” section of your account, look for the address labeled Your Flickr upload e-mail. It will be something along the lines of something@photos.flickr.com.

Step 2: Take a camera phone pic

This part is pretty simple — snap a pic with your camera phone!

Step 3: Send the photo to Flickr

Send an SMS message with the picture attached to the e-mail address from step 1. As soon as Flickr receives it, it will appear in your photo stream. Flickr will use the message subject as the photo’s title, and the message body as the photo’s description.

As an example, here are two shots I snapped at a recent concert, and posted straight to my photo stream from my seat in the nosebleeds.
