A miserable line on Black Friday

Never, not even once have I braved the Black Friday crowds to get my holiday shopping done early. Waking up early, standing in line, dealing with crazed shoppers… there’s just no way. Unfortunately, skipping Black Friday means missing out on some serious discounts. There must be a better way, right?

Wait a minute…

The Internet is the ultimate in convenient shopping — log on, compare, buy, and go back to sleep! Who needs the mall? E-commerce sites like Amazon.com have their sites set squarely on the holiday shopping rush each year, which means you can get some serious discounts without giving up your serenity, or your sweat pants.

Black Friday Promotions at Amazon.com

First and foremost, Amazon’s Black Friday deals page is the gateway to all their holiday shopping deals. Visit this page at any time over the course of Friday, December 23rd to see what deals are available.

In addition to their Black Friday site, Amazon is also running a promotion called Amazon Customers Vote. The promotion has six rounds of voting that allow customers to have their say on which of 18 popular items should be heavily discounted. If one of your items receives the popular vote, you have a chance to be offered that deal. Some of the deals include a $99 XBox 360 package, a $200 HD Camcorder, and a 46″ LCD HD TV for $719.
