How to Make Vertical Text in Photoshop

Making vertical text in Photoshop is a very simple task… so simple, you can do it with just two clicks.

Using the Type tool, either create a new text layer or highlight some existing text, then do the following:

1. Click Layer.
2. Mouse over Type.
3. Click Vertical.

Any text you enter into this layer will be oriented vertically. If you had selected some pre-existing text, it will switch to vertical. And of course, you can go back to normal by clicking Layer → Type → Horizontal.
