In 2007 Microsoft posted a free trial of their popular office productivity suite.

Looking to get your hands on Microsoft Office? MS has a free 60-day trial available on their site. The free trial is for Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007. It contains Word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, and OneNote 2007.

The Free Office 2007 trial requires Windows XP SP2, and asks you to supply your name, address, and e-mail in order to qualify. Once installed, Office will require you to activate the product by registering it with Microsoft. The trial period expires 60 days from the date you install it, at which time you must either purchase the product or deal with working in “reduced functionality mode”.

If you are a college student, you can still get your hands on Microsoft Office 2007 for virtually nothing. We previously covered the Ultimate Steal, which makes the entire package available to students for just $60. You have until April 30th, 2008 to grab a copy.
